| In response to the need for well-designed and functional furniture, artists and architects have long made their own furniture, or selected objects found within the industrial world and appropriated them for their needs. Inspired by utility, order, and constructional understanding, they have been devoid of bourgeois conventions – but instead are basic, elemental and prototypical. With this approach in mind, Schellmann Furniture has been producing artist-designed furniture. |
